VERIZON

2022-2024 : Brand Rebrand, Campaigns, Retail, Digital, OOH, Social, Experiential

  • As the Creative Director Head of Brand Imagery at Verizon, I played a pivotal role in branding, photo, and motion, driving transformative creative strategies prioritizing authenticity, emotional connection, and audience engagement. After seven years of exclusivity, I expanded the creative roster, introducing diverse talent to invigorate the brand's storytelling. I led the rebrand, redefining Verizon’s photography look and feel, transforming product photography to evoke emotion, and ensuring video storytelling took center stage. By identifying creative opportunities through audience insights and competitive landscape analysis, I successfully differentiated Verizon from its competitors. I managed the creative quality, updated the brand system, and established an environment that promoted creative brainstorming, innovation, and risk-taking, ensuring the brand remained dynamic and relevant in a competitive market.

Featured Campaigns: Airbnb Host Campaign, Adventures, Cooking, Animals, Antarctic Sabbatical

  • At Airbnb, I worked directly under the Director of Photography as Lead Photo Editor, overseeing photo curation, post-production workflows, and the end-to-end visual asset pipeline across global digital, print, and experiential campaigns. I led the photo editing and post process for high-impact launches including Adventures, Cooking, and Animals Experiences, as well as campaigns like the Antarctic Sabbatical and Airbnb Hosts. My role included managing a team of photo editors/curators, retouchers, and post-production partners to ensure all imagery was on-brand, culturally resonant, and executed at the highest quality. I helped build a diverse contributor database, streamlined post-production systems, and maintained visual consistency across platforms—contributing to 625M+ impressions and a measurable increase in brand awareness and engagement.

Magazine, Divanee, Healthline and Kong. Across these roles, I’ve worked as a photo editor, producer, writer, researcher, and reporter, bringing stories to life from concept to publication. AMERICAN REALITIES

STIEDL /// TIME MAGAZINE

There is no single archetype for America’s poor. According to the 2010 U.S. Census Bureau, 46 million Americans live below the poverty line, that’s the highest number since they started publishing poverty figures more than five decades ago. Economists and experts predict that number is rising. American Realities documents the lives of the people behind the statistics. We spoke to hundreds of people struggling to make ends meet, unemployed, homeless, middle class families that had dealt with financial devastation and the working poor.
I pitched, researched and produced the original story for TIME Magazine and TIME.com The overwhelming response from Joakim’s photo essay and Natasha’s podcast on TIME.com prompted us to expand the scope of the work by producing a book with Stiedl and our own American Realities multimedia website, including more photos, stories and the voices of people we interviewed.
